Hi Again, its Zoe the French intern here. On this blog we are talking about Byron Bay, one of our most popular stops of our East Coast Australia tour packages.
Byron Bay is known as the laid back Australian « surfer’s city ». When you arrive in town, you can literally feel the vibe! Everybody is wearing flip flops, shorts, t-shirts, and lots are holding a surfboard. It feels like summer even when it’s winter! But this is also the perfect place to go kayaking, swimming, sky diving, whale watching, hiking to the lighthouse, or even do a yoga session. There are so many great options here. You will find what suits you, even if it is relaxing with a book on beautiful white sands.
If your dream is to see wild whales, you’re in the right place! From approximately June – November, by boat, or just by walking along the coast, you will see them every time …Discliamer. not ‘every time’ but very likely ; D
Just be patient and focus, like with the wild dolphins we saw in Port Macquarie!
Going hiking to reach the lighthouse means that you will pass through the most eastern point of Australia! Isn’t that exciting? Yes, it is! This is something to check on your dream list.
After a short walk, where I’m sure you saw lots of birds like Kookaburras, magpies or even garbage birds, it’s time to relax on the beach and listening to the sound of the waves. After, there are some delicious options for food, with very funky café’s, restaurants, ice cream shops and juice bars at every turn. Did you know that the top reason travellers return to Australia for a second time, is for the food! You will not be disappointed.
Byron Bay is definitely a place that you can’t miss on the East Coast of Australia. This is one of the highlights on the tour where you can do great shopping, enjoy an array of activities and be immersed in the laid back Australian beach culture.
