Your adventure begins in Exmouth, a charming town perched on the tip of Western Australia’s west coast. Make your own way to the starting hotel (Ningaloo Lodge Exmouth) for a self check in from 2pm. Freshen up, then your afternoon is free to enjoy. Perhaps a dip in the ocean at the nearby Town Beach, a sunset cruise (spot whales at the right time of the year!) on Exmouth Gulf or a visit to one of the fantastic local breweries!
Day 1 is non guided. Your guide will pick you up the following morning from the hotel (Time to be advised on booking).
Known for its proximity to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ningaloo Reef, Exmouth is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Here, you can choose to embark on a glass-bottom boat tour, allowing you to witness the vibrant marine life below without getting wet. For those seeking a more immersive experience, the optional whale shark tour offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to swim alongside these gentle giants of the ocean. As you glide through the waters of the Indian Ocean, you’ll be captivated by the beauty of the reef and its colourful inhabitants.
Exmouth is also the gateway to Cape Range National Park, a rugged landscape of limestone ranges, deep canyons, and stunning coastal vistas. Wildlife enthusiasts will delight in spotting emus, kangaroos, and a variety of bird species as they explore the parkโs scenic trails.
