Day 1: Hobart to Queenstown (Tour starts on a Monday)
We start in Australia’s Harbour City, the glittering jewel in the east coast’s crown. Check into your room, freshen up, then meet your tour leader and new travel mates for a welcome meeting at 6pm. Then we are off for a great welcome dinner, and the chance to get to know your fellow travellers.

In Stanley, take in the breathtaking views of The Nut, an ancient volcanic plug that offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding coastline. Next, we’ll venture to the far North West Coast, reaching the awe-inspiring ‘Edge of the World’ at Arthur River. This wild and rugged region, part of the Tarkine/takayna coast, holds deep spiritual significance for the Tasmanian Aboriginal people/palawa.

Day 8: Tasmanian Devils, Richmond & Wellington Park
Meet a variety of Tasmanian wildlife such as quolls, birds, wombats, kangaroos, and Tasmanian devils at Bonorong Wildlfe Sanctuary. Then, walk around the colonial village of Richmond which is home to the oldest convict-built bridges still in operation in Australia. Enjoy seeing the heritage buildings before we make our way back to Hobart via the scenic winery region, the Coal River Valley.
This afternoon, we’ll share with you some of our favourite spots in Hobart’s Wellington Park. Known fondly by locals as “The Mountain”, Mount Wellington/kunanyi is a diverse natural reserve with several trails to see fern glades, eucalyptus forests, dramatic rock columns, boulder fields, and spectacular lookouts. Tonight, unwind in one of the city’s historic pubs or restaurants.

Our first stop is the iconic Truganini Lookout, where a climb of 279 steps rewards you with breathtaking views of the isthmus connecting North and South Bruny.
Next, we’ll venture into South Bruny National Park, where the dramatic coastline at Cape Bruny Lighthouse offers awe-inspiring vistas. Summer temperatures range from 17 to 23°C, while winter highs are between 3 and 11°C. Rainfall is diverse: Hobart, with 626mm annually, is Australia’s second-driest capital, while the west coast receives up to 2400mm, sustaining its rainforests.
Weather can change suddenly, especially when bushwalking, so always carry extra warm and waterproof clothing. While 23°C in summer may not seem hot, the dry heat and strong sun make sunscreen and a hat essential.

Tasmania is located approximately 250km across Bass Strait from the mainland. Most visitors fly in, but those wishing to enjoy the journey by sea can take the Spirit of Tasmania ferry, which operates between Geelong and Devonport.
Melbourne is the closest airport, while Hobart is your arriving airport on Tasmania.
