Australia Tours – Fraser Island
Hello travellers,
On Read this blog to find out what day 7 & 8 of the following tours are about: 14 day Sydney to Cairns, 7 day Sydney to Brisbane, and 18 day Sydney to Daintree.
A lot of people find it difficult to leave Byron Bay but don’t worry too much; we are going to do a quick stop in Noosa. This sunshine coastal town is a great koala-spotting place and we’ll visit Noosa National Park followed by a magnificent drive & short ferry to our two night destination, Fraser Island.
K’Gari National Park (Fraser Island National Park) is one of the most iconic and natural landscapes in Australia despite it’s rough past with logging practices, things have since changed and a whole new world has opened up to those coming onto K’Gari shores. Fraser Island, off Australia’s eastern Queensland coast, is the world’s largest sand island!
There is so much to explore on this magnificent island starting right from the point you reach Inskip Point to the point you become immersed at Lake Mackenzie, K’Gari is one of the most wonderful islands in Australia.
We embarked on an adventurous 4WD ride through the island discovering the top highlights Fraser Island has to offer.
Such beauty from the lush Central Station and its naturally purified creek of clear water to the heavy breaks that lash the golden sands that border this stunning land. K’Gari will leave you wanting to comeback. We visited: lookout points (Indian Head, the Cathedrals), swam in the stunning pure rainwater Lake McKenzie, visited the Maheno shipwreck and took a dip in the fresh waters of Eli Creek. Discover this unique tropical rainforest and get to see the dingo, Australian unique wildlife. This evening, we ended our adventurous day in the best way possible… relaxing at our beautiful accommodation KingFisherBay.
