Yes. The wet (green) season is one of the most spectacular times to visit Kakadu, with lush landscapes, flowing wetlands, fewer visitors, and excellent wildlife viewing. The itinerary is designed to adapt to seasonal conditions while showcasing the park at its best.
A low to moderate level of fitness is required. Walks are short and guided, with the longest being around 1km. Some sections on Day 2 include uneven or steep terrain, so sturdy footwear and good general mobility are recommended.
You will stay overnight at Cooinda Lodge Kakadu. Choose between air-conditioned Outback Retreat glamping tents with shared bathroom facilities or Private Lodge rooms with ensuite bathrooms.
We recommend light, breathable clothing, sturdy walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a refillable water bottle, swimwear (conditions permitting), and a small day pack. Wet-season rain showers are common, so a light rain jacket is also advised.
Swimming in Kakadu during the wet season is very limited due to water levels, strong currents, and the presence of crocodiles. For safety reasons, swimming is only permitted in designated areas when conditions allow or at our accommodation pool. Your guide will always advise where and when swimming is safe, but swimming is not guaranteed on this tour.
