Tour Tasmania: Discover Tassie’s Beauty

Tasmania, Australia’s only island state, offers a unique mix of stunning wilderness, dramatic coastlines, and rich history. From ancient rainforests and secluded beaches to renowned wildlife and historic sites, Tassie is a paradise for nature lovers and explorers alike.

Whether you’re looking for a quick getaway or a full, in-depth experience, our two brand-new, immersive tours offer something for everyone. Here’s a bit more about them:

6 Days of Tasmanian Discovery

Explore Tasmania’s highlights in a 6 day adventure. You’ll visit iconic spots with plenty of opportunities for short walks, wildlife encounters, and scenic lookouts. Key highlights include a visit to Russell Falls, a visit to Freycinet National Park and the gateway to the Tasman Peninsula, Eaglehawk Neck.

Highlights

Wineglass Bay – Known for its stunning crescent-shaped beach with white sand and turquoise waters, Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park is a must-see destination for nature lovers.

Gordon River Cruise: This serene river flows through Tasmania’s World Heritage Wilderness Area, offering a tranquil cruise experience through ancient rainforests. Fun fact, the river’s tea-colored water is due to naturally occuring tannins upstream.

Cradle Mountain: Part of Tasmania’s rugged wilderness, Cradle Mountain is famous for its dramatic peaks, glacial lakes, and scenic hiking trails. It’s also a prime habitat for unique wildlife, including the elusive Tasmanian devil and wombats.

Hidden Gem

The Bay of Fires, famous for its brilliant orange-hued rocks and hidden beaches, is often overlooked by many visitors but perfect for a peaceful retreat. The area was named by Captain Tobias Furneaux in 1773 after he saw Aboriginal fires dotting the coastline, marking it as a site of ancient cultural significance.

Top Tip

Pack your hiking boots! Tasmania’s trails are breathtaking, and you’ll want to be prepared for impromptu walks through nature with decent shoes.

South Bruny National Park, Tasmania

10 Days of the Ultimate Tasmania

For those wanting a deeper connection with the island, this 10-day tour offers a comprehensive journey across Tasmania’s stunning landscapes. Our 10 day comfort tour is perfect for travellers who want to blend relaxation with outdoor adventure, including hikes, cruises, and wildlife tours.

Highlights

Port Arthur: This UNESCO World Heritage site offers a glimpse into Australia’s convict history with well-preserved buildings and hidden stories. In fact, Port Arthur once housed over 12,000 convicts, making it one of Australia’s largest penal colonies.

Bruny Island: Known for its stunning landscapes and gourmet food scene including handmade sourdough, cheese, and oysters. It’s also a favourite for wildlife lovers, with penguins, seals, and rare birds. The island also has one of the only accessible colonies of white wallaby, a rare albino variant of the Bennett’s wallaby.

Tarkine Rainforest: One of the world’s largest rainforests, the Tarkine is a biodiversity hotspot and home to home to ancient Huon pines, which can live up to 3,000 years, making them among the oldest living trees. These trees are also protected today as a limited resource and can only be harvested or felled with a license.

Hidden Gem

Tasmania’s oldest national park, it boasts stunning waterfalls, towering trees, and rich wildlife. Russell Falls, the park’s most visited waterfall, was the first in Tasmania to be protected for public enjoyment, drawing visitors since the 1800s.

Top Tip

Dress in layers. Tasmania’s weather can change quickly, especially when you’re moving from coastlines to mountains.
